Is there a skydiving weight limit? At Skydive Perris, the weight limit is 240 pounds for tandem skydiving and the Perris Skydiving Program. PSP students must also be height-to-weight proportionate so their parachute and harness fit correctly. For tandem jumps, the limit is based on the combined weight of the student and instructor. What happens if your parachute doesn’t open while skydiving? Parachute malfunctions are rare, but tandem instructors are trained to respond if there is a problem.
