Why jump with us
A non-profit club and a registered student organization. Here is what that means on the day you jump.
- Jumping safely since 1964.
- The only collegiate parachute club in the United States that owns its own airplane and runs its own drop zone.
- Every instructor holds an instructional rating with the United States Parachute Association (USPA) and has hundreds, if not thousands, of jumps.
- Commercial-rated pilots. Equipment that meets and exceeds FAA and USPA guidelines.
- Reserve parachutes repacked every 180 days by an FAA-certified rigger.
- A $230 tandem or the $180 First Jump Course. A $50 deposit holds either one, and the rest is due on jump day.

Your jump day
Three steps, start to landing
Most of the day is ordinary. Here is the whole shape of it before you decide.
Book it
Pick a date online. A $50 deposit holds your spot and the balance is due on the day.
Train
Show up 30 minutes early, sign your waiver, meet your instructor. Training runs 10 to 20 minutes.
Jump
Climb to 10,000 feet, exit together, freefall for about a minute at 120 mph, then five minutes under canopy.

Abilene Municipal Airport, 801 S Washington St, Abilene, KS 67410. Just 2 miles south of I-70, and within easy driving distance of Salina, Manhattan, Junction City, Topeka and Wichita. Tandem slots are 8 am and 1 pm almost every weekend. We jump year-round and we're busiest March through October. Walk-ins are welcome, but book a few days ahead so we can confirm an instructor for you. Call us at 785-268-7235.
