Experienced Jumpers Welcome
We love fun jumpers. Whether you live nearby or are just passing through, come join us for a weekend of jumping.
Skydive K-State welcomes licensed jumpers at its small Cessna 182 drop zone in Abilene, Kansas, 2 miles south of I-70. Jumps run $20 for a hop and pop up to $25 from 10,000 feet, gear rental is $5, and membership is $30 a semester or $50 a year. AADs are encouraged.

Enjoy our small Cessna dropzone vibe and a wide-open landing area. We are located just 2 miles south of I-70 in Abilene, KS. AADs are recommended but not required. Need gear? We have student gear available to rent.
Relocating to the area or planning a visit? Email info@skydivekstate.com. We jump year-round and are most active March through October.
2026 experienced jumper prices
- Full altitude (10k): $25
- Hop and pop (5k): $20
- Club dues (membership required for all jumpers): $50 per year, $30 per 6 months, or $10 for a single weekend if you are just passing through (one time only)
- Gear rental (Nav 260 or Nav 220): $5 per jump
- All charges are paid before you leave the dropzone.

Facilities
Aircraft
We jump from N71560, a Cessna 182M with an upgraded engine and a Hartzell prop. This model of 182 has a slightly wider body than others, so you will notice the extra elbow room on the way up to altitude.
Packing area
We are happy to offer carpeted packing with free rubber bands (size large), plenty of pull-up cords, and packing weights.

2026 regular jumps
Cash or check prices. Additional fees apply for credit card and PayPal transactions.
- 3,000 to 5,000 ft: $20
- 6,000 ft: $21
- 7,000 ft: $22
- 8,000 ft: $23
- 9,000 ft: $24
- 10,000 ft: $25
For licensed non-members, add $4 per jump. If you plan on making 7 or more jumps, just pay membership dues.
2026 membership dues
$30 per semester or $50 per year. A single weekend is $10 if you are just passing through.
Gear rental: $5 per jump
We have 7 Navigator 260 rigs and 1 Nav 220 rig for rental. For smaller canopies, up-jumpers with multiple rigs may be willing to rent to you directly. During first jump courses, first jumpers get priority on club gear.
